Oil on Canvas, 1960s

An elegant oil on canvas still life from the 1960s, this floral composition brings together a generous bouquet of mauve lilacs and pink and red roses displayed in a brown vase with warm reflections. The academic realist treatment reveals a careful mastery of light and form, lending each flower its own presence and delicacy. Presented in its gilt wood frame of classical proportions, the canvas is in excellent state of conservation. A timeless decorative piece, ideal for introducing a touch of floral classicism to an interior.
